Pets In Care

Pets available for adoption will be listed with a brief bio. All other pets will have a short description of why they are in shelter care.

LHS cares for many pets each day, not all are ready to find their new homes. “All Pets In Care” are the majority of the pets we are currently caring for,
it does not include kittens in foster under 10 weeks old.

These pets may be awaiting a stray hold (7 days for dogs, 4 days for other pets), on medical treatment or quarantine hold, or awaiting a behavior evaluation.
Some pets involved in animal control cases may not be listed.

We are committed to transparency in our work for local animals. If you have any questions, please reach out.
