As we see more and more families struggling due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to remind the community that LHS does offer a Pet Food Pantry program for folks facing financial hardship. The Pet Food Pantry is stocked with dry and canned cat and dog food from donations made by the community. If you are considering surrendering your pet because you cannot afford to feed them, we may be able to help. Lowell Humane Society prioritizes keeping pets with their families whenever possible, and if you are experiencing financial difficulties we may have food and some pet supplies available for your family member.
If you are in need of pet food, please contact us at (978) 452-7781, or email info@lowellhumanesociety.org so that we can help meet your needs. We are working by appointment only at this time, so we do request that you contact us in advance to set up a pick-up date and time.
If you would like to make a pet food donation to support the Pet Food Pantry, please visit our Amazon Wish List linked here which is updated regularly based on need, or stop by any day between 8 am- 4 pm to drop of a donation or dry or wet cat or dog food.
