Earlier this week, team members from Lowell Humane Society went to a local residence to assist with the capture of over 60 cats and took 14 cats in poor condition back to the shelter for treatment and care. We are committed to helping these wonderful cats reach full health as quickly as possible and getting them back on their feet and ready to be adopted out to loving families.
As a small community shelter, we rely on the generosity of kind individuals like you to help provide care and resources during times of emergency. If you are able to give, please consider making an urgent donation to support the unexpected costs associated with the care of these 14 sick and injured cats. LHS does not have a veterinarian on staff and works on a tight budget to help the hundreds of cats who come to our shelter each year. Our anticipated costs for these cats alone will be $8,000+ with each requiring a cocktail of medication daily to treat infections, mites, ulcers, and more along with surgeries for eye ailments, dentals, and spays/neuters, in addition to possible ringworm infection.
We are anticipating several months of recovery for these pets. Please consider an urgent gift to give these cats a second chance at a better life.
Make a gift here to support the cats.
