We currently have 115 pets in care- (42 in foster homes and 73 in the shelter). Last week we had 24 pets come into our care and 20 pets leave the shelter (16 adoptions, 4 strays returned to owner).
Pet of The Week: QUEENY
QUEENY the cat! Spread the word that this senior gal needs a home! Queeny is a 14 years, 9 months old female Domestic Longhair/Mix cat who weighs 5 kilograms and has been with us for 48 days. Queeny is just that- a QUEEN. She makes the rules, she sets the vibe. At 14 years young, Queeny has fully earned her crown – and she wears it proudly.
This senior lady is sassy, opinionated, and full of personality. She knows what she likes, knows what she doesn’t, and isn’t afraid to let you know. Queeny isn’t looking to be treated like a kitten – she prefers respect, routine, and a human who understands that queens make the rules.
Queeny is diabetic, but don’t let that scare you away. Her condition is well controlled with an easy oral medication, and she’s feeling good and enjoying her golden years. She’s proof that seniors with medical needs can still live happy, comfortable, love-filled lives.
She would do best in a calm home where she can lounge, supervise daily activities, and remind you that everything technically belongs to her.
